Acrylic

A prized choice in outdoor furniture manufacturing, acrylic fibre is a synthetic material that dries quickly and does not need to be ironed. UV resistant, it prevents the fading and wear and tear associated with sun exposure. To remove a stain, wipe it immediately using a mild soap and lukewarm water. 

AirTouch®

Cane-line AirTouch© is a fabric developed exclusively for the Danish brand. It combines the resistance with the comfort and flexibility of Sunbrella© fabric. Cushions coated in AirTouch© are filled with QuickDryFoam©, offering a winning that ensures maximum drainage and resistance to mould. Machine wash SoftTouch© cushion covers on a gentle cycle in cold water. Air dry. To remove stains, clean the surface immediately using soapy water and a soft bristle brush.

Aluminium

Lightweight, strong and non-corrosive, aluminium is a popular choice in outdoor furniture design. It gets its colour from a coating of a fluidized powder paint, applied using electrostatic spray for a scratch-resistant finish. Clean it regularly with water and dish soap, then rinse and wipe dry with a microfibre cloth. Avoid the accumulation of rainwater on the surface.

Anodized Aluminium

Lightweight, strong and locally made, anodized aluminium is distinguished by a surface treatment that makes it more resistant to wear, corrosion, heat and salty air. Once a month, clean it with water and dish soap, then rinse and wipe dry with a microfibre cloth.

Batyline® Mesh Fabric

Unparalleled in terms of performance and looks, Batyline® fabric is a guarantee of quality. It is manufactured in France by Sergio Ferrari®, a benchmark in exterior furniture covers and nautical equipment. Batyline® fabric consists of a polyester micro-yarn weave coated in polymer, making it resistant to weathering, mildew and tearing, as well as to fading and other damage from the sun. In addition to drying quickly, it stays cool even in direct sunlight. Clean with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse immediately to remove sunscreen stains.

Ceramic

While ceramic is often considered fragile, this material is anything but! Composed of sand, clay and natural stone, ceramic tops are distinguished by their resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, scratches and wear. Waterproof and hygienic on account of its low porosity, ceramic is perfectly suited to outdoor use. To keep it clean, simply wash with a damp cloth, lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding the use of steel wool and other abrasive products.

Durateck

Les Jardins brand’s Duratek© is designed to offer peace of mind. This highly durable teak wood is stripped and coated with a special treatment to resist weathering, stains, fading and the damaging effects of the sun. It stands out with its distinctly contemporary grey hue, as well as its aged and veined look. Do not oil. To remove dirt, clean with water and mild soap.

Galvanized Iron

Treated to resist corrosion and coated with a thermosetting powder paint, galvanized iron is designed to stand up to bad weather without worry. Its weight also makes it an ideal choice for furniture destined for windy environments. Clean it using a soft cloth and either a water-based emulsifier, alkaline-based cleaner with a pH below 12, or organic solvent. Rinse the area with cold water.

Its weight also makes it an ideal choice for furniture destined for windy environments. Glass

Impervious to moisture, resistant to stains and offering countless options for customization, glass is ideal for outdoor use and very easy to maintain. Avoid the accumulation of rainwater on the surface and wash with a window cleaner and soft cloth.

HPL (High Pressure Laminate)

Renowned for its durability and endless finishing options, high pressure laminate is a composite made from cellulose fibres and thermosetting resins. It is resistant to heat, weathering and scratches, as well as to fading and other damage from the sun. To maintain your surface, simply clean with soapy water and a soft cloth before rinsing thoroughly with water.

Jardin de Ville Cushions

Jardin de Ville’s furniture and decorative cushions are produced by our local textile workshop, Cuscini Design. Made on demand and available with multiple customization options, they’re a blend craftsmanship and high-end materials. Covered in Sunbrella® fabric and filled with high-team foam, they promise incredible resistance to weathering, as well to fading and other damage from the sun. Machine wash cushion covers on a gentle cycle in cold water. Air dry. To remove stains, wash with soapy water. Once the upholstery is clean and dry, spray with a waterproofing product for added protection.

Maglia Fabric

The Maglia fabric is made of polyester and a vinyl protection, which gives the fabric a standard appearance, in addition to having all the characteristics against sun, mildew, water resistance and against stains. Clean the fabric using a microfibre cloth and a solution of water and mild soap. Rinse and air dry.

Olefin Fabric

Ideal for outdoor use, olefin is a synthetic fabric made from polyolefin fibres. Soft and light, this upholstery is resistant to scratches, mildew, and the wear and tear of the sun’s rays. It dries quickly and is not easily stained. Cleaning is also a breeze: simply use fresh water and a mild soap.

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic material that dries quickly and does not need to be ironed. UV resistant, it prevents the fading and wear and tear associated with sun exposure. To remove a stain, wipe it immediately using a mild soap and lukewarm water. 

Polyethylene

At once tough and heavy, polyethylene is synonymous with modern design. Its injection-moulded construction can create everything from ultra-refined silhouettes to whimsical shapes. Resistant to inclement weather, fading and UV-ray wear, this material stands out for its long lifespan and low maintenance—it requires only the occasional cleaning with soapy water.

At once tough and lightweight, polypropylene is synonymous with modern design. Its injection-moulded construction can create everything from ultra-refined silhouettes to whimsical shapes. Resistant to inclement weather, fading and UV-ray wear, this material stands out for its long lifespan and low maintenance—it requires only the occasional cleaning with soapy water.

QuickDry Foam

QuickDry foam features a high-tech honeycomb structure. Its performance-driven design ensures air circulation and water drainage that allow it to dry twice as fast as standard foam. It’s also resistant to sagging and mould growth.

Rope

Designed especially for outdoor use, synthetic-fibre rope generally requires next to no maintenance. It dries quickly and is resistant to inclement weather and fading, as well damage from the sun’s rays. Clean it using a soft brush and soapy water.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is distinguished by high resistance and durability. Its weightiness also makes it an ideal choice for furniture that needs to hold its ground in windy conditions. However, it can tarnish in the form of rust chips. To prevent that from happening, be sure to clean it regularly with water and mild soap before drying with a microfibre cloth. Once or twice a season, you can apply a protective product designed for stainless steel. Avoid placing it near a saltwater swimming pool.

Sunbrella© Awning Fabric

Machine wash Natté cushion covers on a gentle cycle in cold water. Air dry. To remove stains, clean the surface immediately using soapy water and a soft bristle brush.

Synthetic Fibre

Synthetic fibre offers the warm look of rattan without the fragility. Waterproof and resistant to fading and wear and tear from exposure to the sun, this material is also remarkably easy to maintain. To clean it, simply use a non-foaming cleanser and rinse with running water.

Teak

Teak is a prized wood in outdoor furniture production due to its high resistance to bad weather and natural oil content that protects against bacteria and decay. Left outside, raw teak furniture will naturally turn from orange-brown to a pale-grey tone. To maintain or restore its original colour, be sure to apply a sealant or oil specially designed for teak as soon as the wood begins to fade. Regular cleaning with water and mild soap is also recommended to remove any dirt.

Colored Teak

Teak is a prized wood in outdoor furniture production due to its high resistance to bad weather and natural oil content that protects against bacteria and decay. Stain, varnish or oil is applied to raw teak turn it grey, brown or black. It is normal for the colour to lose its lustre after prolonged sun exposure. Consult with one of our advisors one who to properly maintain your furniture. Recommended products vary depending on the brand, wood colour and condition of the furniture.

Textilene

As elegant as it is durable, Textilene is made from polyester yarns coated in PVC, making it highly resistant to the elements. To remove any stains or sunscreen residue, wash immediately with soapy water and a soft-bristle brush, then rinse and allow to air dry.
